題目 Fréchet Sufficient Dimension Reduction for Metric Space-Valued Data via Distance Covariance
要旨 This talk introduces a Fréchet sufficient dimension reduction method for regression problems with metric-space-valued responses, including distributions, count data, matrices, spherical data, and other non-Euclidean data objects. The proposed approach uses kernel distance covariance to identify low-dimensional sufficient predictors while preserving the essential regression information between high-dimensional Euclidean predictors and complex responses. By mapping metric-space-valued responses into a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and optimizing a distance covariance criterion on the Stiefel manifold, the method provides a flexible and computationally efficient framework for Fréchet regression and related high-dimensional data analysis problems. Theoretical guarantees establish the validity and consistency of the resulting Fréchet central subspace estimator. Simulation studies and real data applications, including mortality distributions, bike rental patterns, carcinoma gene expression, and breast cancer survival data, demonstrate that the proposed method is accurate, broadly applicable, and computationally faster than existing Fréchet SDR approaches.
